With over 5 kilometres of sand and turquoise waters, Hyères' longest beach is a must-see. Facing a protected bay, this long, narrow beach is ideal for windsurfing and kitesurfing.
With its generous pine forest and lovely views over the other beaches of the Giens peninsula and the Hyères harbour, it offers a magnificent setting. Take the coastal path, which leads to a number of small coves, before arriving.
With its fine white sand, crystal-clear waters and shallow depths, it is particularly popular with families. A magnificent pine forest completes this dream landscape.
This beach is the largest on the island. It is also the furthest from the village of Port-Cros. What makes it so successful? A sublime panorama and a location that shelters it from the winds.
Sheltered from the sales and the swell, it is reserved for the courageous who will have to walk 4.5 km to reach it. This Porquerolles beach is divided in two. There is the Plage Blanche du Langoustier to the north, with its white sand, and the Plage Noire du Langoustier, with its greyish gravel.
This is a small beach of coarse sand bordered by tamarisk trees and a reedbed. This is the starting point for the underwater trail, which is ideal for snorkellers keen to observe a wide range of species.

Few people know that Hyères was once a fortified medieval town. History buffs can follow in the footsteps of the ramparts and walls that once protected the inhabitants.
Both a chapel and a guardroom, this unusual historic monument takes us back to the time of the Knights Templar, a religious and military order that had a strong presence in Hyères in the 12th and 13th centuries.
It offers 7 hectares of lawns and flowery paths right in the heart of Hyères. A great place to take a stroll after a day of water sports or a morning jog.

Another historic monument... Built in the 1920s, it is an emblematic building of modern architectural heritage. Today it houses an art centre that is a must-see.
This listed archaeological site features the Roman and medieval remains of what was once a major maritime trading post, including thermal baths, settlements and sanctuaries.
Situated between two sandy coastal strips known as tombolos, this 550-hectare natural site plunges you into the history of salt mining since Antiquity. Now that mining has ceased, the site has once again become a small paradise for the local fauna.
